FAQs

What Is Organic Cotton?

Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture.

We proudly use Certified, Sustainable, Organic Cotton Materials, that are completely free of the use of synthetic chemicals such as pesticides + fertilisers. All Fabrics are coloured with the use of all natural, non-toxic dyes, to bring you the naturally vibrant colours in the range.

Why Is Organic Cotton Better For The Environment?

Unlike Organic Cotton, Conventional Cotton has the highest rate of chemical use, covering 2.5% of the globes cultivated land but consuming 16% of the world's insecticides. Chemicals used in the processing of Conventional Cotton also pollute the air + surface waters, whilst upsetting biodiversity + natural ecosystems.

What Is GOTS Certification?

All fabrics used to craft sticks + stoneproducts, are accredited with The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) Certification; which is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres.

The Standard includes ecological + social criteria, supported by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.

To find out more about GOTS certification + associated standards, visit the GOTS website.

What Is Ethical Design, Development & Production?

All sticks + stone products are crafted in local Australian production houses by skilled machinists.

All who play a role in the design, development + production of your garment, are working in safe, clean + ethical environments where the protection of human rights is paramount.

Your purchase supports the livelihood of these positive production environments + that of talented Australian workers.
