Our label is underpinned by the core values of Integrity, Authenticity, Fairness, Optimism & Creativity. We use these values to guide our daily operations & longer-term strategies, toward better outcomes for people & planet, via something that everyone connects with on a daily basis; clothing.

We aim to exist within the fashion eco system in a fair & ethical manner, offering honest products with sincerity, to build trust within the industry, with our peers & fashion lovers alike.

 

Authenticity

We always remain open & honest about our position on key Ethical & Sustainable goals & initiatives. We celebrate progress over perfection, however abhor Greenwashing & work to positively highlight & remove any of this practice from the Industry.

We work for fairness & equality, both within our direct sphere of influence & within the broader fashion industry. We work to maintain a supportive & positive workplace environment by valuing the diverse & unique skills, experience & talent of each member of the community, treating everyone with kindness, fairness & respect.

Fair Trade

All sticks + stone products are crafted in female-led, Australian production houses where conditions are safe & clean, & where the protection of human rights is paramount.

We work with a highly experienced network of home sewers based in Brisbane Australia, with talent carefully curated via Shona at Kershon Clothing.

All of our employees & contractors working conditions either meet or exceed regulations in the Australian Federal Fair Work Act 2009, which provides a safety net of minimum entitlements, enables flexible working arrangements & fairness at work & prevents discrimination against employees.

 

Materials

All sticks + stone products are crafted with beautiful, environmentally conscious fabrics. 

We use Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) Certified, Sustainable, Organic Cotton Materials, that are completely free of the use of synthetic chemicals such as pesticides + fertilisers. All of these fabrics are coloured with the use of all natural, non-toxic dyes.

All of our materials are sourced via local Australian Suppliers OCC Apparel & Fern Textiles, who obtain all organic materials from locations in India.

 

Sustainable Practices

At sticks + stone we invest in Circular Fashion processes & Designing for Minimal Waste.

We’re designing with waste reduction in mind, right from the start. Whether it’s using less water, emitting less carbon or cutting back on material waste, we’re always improving processes to minimise our footprint in everything from design, production, distribution, consumption and disposal.

We also donate any remaining textile off cuts & trim to local charity initiatives that recreate them into useful things like reusable shopping bags.

We are plastic free! We only utilise recycled & recyclable product for all packaging & office stationary needs + we avoid printing any documents at all costs!

Shipping

We are proud to use DHL Go Green for all Australian domestic & international deliveries.

Via DHL, we invest in the offset the emissions of every parcel that is collected & delivered, meaning that your delivery won’t have a negative social or environmental impact.

Privacy

Our website provider (Shopify) implements scanning on a regular basis for security holes & known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. They also use regular Malware Scanning.

All sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We also implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of personal information. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider & are not stored or processed on our servers.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties our customers Personally Identifiable Information.
